If you’ve been researching digital products, you may have seen the terms PLR and MRR
They might sound confusing to you, so here's a breakdown of what they mean:
PLR = Private Label Rights.
MRR = Master Resell Rights.
Both allow you to sell digital products created by someone else and keep 100% of the profits.
With PLR products you're able to:
• Edit them
• Rebrand them - change colours, fonts, the content, etc.
• Add your name or logo
• Sell it as your own
With MRR products you can:
• Sell the product exactly as-is (you ususally can't make any changes)
• Keep 100% of the profit
• Allow your customers to resell it too, with the same resale rights
• Anyone who buys from your customers can also pass on the resale rights - it's basically a chain
Why they're useful
For beginners, this is really helpful because it can remove a big obstacle in online business, which is creating products from scratch.
Instead of spending weeks writing guides, designing templates like planners or journals, or filming courses, you can start with ready-made products and just focus on selling those.
A lot of people chose to do this instead (me included), and it's honestly so much easier!
I did also used to create my digital products from scratch, back when I was selling editable crystal meaning card bundles (I'm talking huge bundles of 300-500 crystal cards! 😬).
And I felt like it just burned me out and put me off creating anything else - mostly!
So if you think this will be you, then I recommend looking into PLR & MRR products like these.
There are loads of products out there - like planners and guides, social media templates, faceless reels, mini courses, and huge bundles.
It’s a simple business model that allows beginners to get started quickly and easily.
